We are in the process of gathering, scanning, and in some cases de-coding all PENTECOST records that appear in the federal censuses from 1790 through 1910.  We also have a few miscellaneous records of other years, mostly records for which we've taken a personal interest. The format for which the information is provided is organized by State, then by county, and finally alphabetically by first name (since the last names are the same).  For each census record you will be able to view the transcription or the scanned census record.  In some cases, it was necessary to scan the image larger than the actual document just to be able to read the record.  Therefore, some of the images are very large, and time consuming to view, which is why we provide the transcription.  The transcription will only show the Pentecost reference, not the entire page.
